Risk Engineer - Equity Background

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy robust software applications tailored for complex financial platforms. 
• Maintain and enhance existing software applications to optimize runtime performance, throughput, and functionality. 
• Conduct thorough code reviews, technical debugging, and proactive performance tuning to guarantee enterprise-grade software reliability. 
• Partner closely with technology product leads and global business stakeholders to analyze requirements and engineer strategic technical solutions. 
• Guide junior engineering staff and effectively manage multiple parallel streams of delivery. 
• Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, industry trends, and modern developer tools to drive continuous platform innovation. 

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant software engineering experience, preferably within a financial services or trading environment.
• Advanced hands-on coding experience with Java and SQL operating within a Linux environment.
• Proven experience architecting and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
• Solid experience designing, implementing, and automating complex test scenarios.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly quantitative field.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with a collaborative approach to code reviews and architectural design.
