Sales Trader, Equities Institutional Business

Responsibilities

1. Mainly cover Hong Kong and Stock connect equities and some global markets, through execution and provide market/stock content.
2. Collaborate with sales, research analysts, and operations to provide end-to-end support to Institutional clients
3. Able to identify risks associated with trading activities and deliver the message to related parties, same time adhering to risk management guidelines and compliance regulations
4. Participate in various projects including trading system upgrade, UAT, process automation to enhance work efficiency
5. Able to tackle system issue if occur intraday by reaching out to IT and vendor
6. Occasionally need to engage and launch new projects with might smoothen trading desk and other departments

Requirements

1. Degree holder in Finance, Economics or related discipline
2. Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in equity trading related role covering institutional clients
3. Familiar with Bloomberg EMSX, Broadridge or other order management system is a plus
4. Experience in client/ account management to effectively handle a portfolio of key clients which includes executing trades, discussing trading strategies
5. Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks under time pressure
6. License holder with passes in HKSI Licensing Exam (Paper 1, 7 & 8) or equivalent
7. Proficiency in spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua
