Pay \:
HK$63,103 to HK$143,298 (HGPS Pt 25 to Pt 44) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff at the end of each 3 years during the 9-year contract period subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle radioactive substances and practice radiochemistry and radiopharmacy to support nuclear medicine service provision and developments.
2. Perform radiolabelling, reconstitution and compounding of radiopharmaceuticals.
3. Perform radiolabelling of autologous blood cells or blood components.
4. Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceutical doses for diagnostic or therapeutic uses.
5. Assist in administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic or therapeutic uses.
6. Synthesize positron-emitting radiopharmaceuticals for clinical or research uses.
7. Organise quality assurance and quality control of radiopharmaceutical doses.
8. Manage nuclear medicine laboratories, facilities, equipment and consumables.
9. Control the uses and safe keeping of laboratory chemicals and radioactive substances.
10. Perform radionuclide in-vivo non-imaging tests and in vitro tests.
11. Draw up documents and keep records for accreditation and regulatory purposes.
12. Develop systems to ensure adherence to current good radiopharmacy practice.
13. Undertake teaching and research to support nuclear medicine training programme.
14. Maintain occupational safety and environmental protection pertaining to radiochemistry and radiopharmacy.
Entry Requirements:
1. Either one of the following qualifications :
(a) A Master’s degree in a Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Science subject related to the Nuclear Medicine from a local university, or equivalent.
(b) A degree in Pharmacy or other relevant Health or Biochemistry Science subject from a local university, or equivalent and 2 years’ experience.
2. Practical experience in radiopharmacy, preferably in hospital radiopharmacy or relevant industry.
