Job Description - Scrum Master (Contract) | Insurance

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement
Remove impediments and help the team stay focused on sprint goals
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure clear backlog prioritization and readiness
Track and report Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to drive performance insights
Support Agile transformation initiatives and promote Agile best practices across the organization
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance
Assist in scaling Agile practices across multiple teams, when applicable

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
3-6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile frameworks (Kanban, SAFe experience is a plus)
Scrum certification (CSM, PSM I/II, or equivalent) preferred
Proven experience facilitating distributed or cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to influence and lead without authority
Experience in software development or digital product environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in enterprise or financial services environments
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
Experience working with multiple Agile teams or large-scale transformations
