Scrum Master - Top-Tier American Investment Bank

Our client, a top-tier American investment bank is seeking an enthusiastic and seasoned Scrum Master & Project Manager with a background in Business Analysis to guide Agile teams in delivering transformative solutions. The ideal candidate will exemplify Agile principles, facilitate Scrum events, and promote ongoing enhancements across diverse teams. This role requires exceptional leadership, mentoring capabilities, and a collaborative approach to nurture a high-performing Agile environment. Additionally, the candidate will assist Product Owners in formulating strategic and tactical solutions in collaboration with various business divisions (e.g., Technology, Operations, and Legal) to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Agile events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Support the Product Owner in refining and prioritizing the backlog.
• Track team performance through Agile metrics dashboards and pinpoint areas for growth.
• Promote Agile values and integrate them throughout the organization.
• Mentor team members to adopt innovative practices and collaborative methodologies.
• Eliminate obstacles and resolve conflicts to ensure smooth sprint operations.
• Cultivate transparency, trust, and a flat organizational structure within teams.
• Work closely with stakeholders to align team objectives with broader organizational goals.
• Define project scope and business requirements in partnership with stakeholders and various functional teams. Conduct business analysis, create user stories, establish workflows, and recommend process improvements and system upgrades.
• Oversee project tasks from feasibility assessments and requirement documentation to UAT management (including UAT test scripts) and implementation support.
• Assess project performance after implementation and address any production challenges with stakeholders.
• Exhibit a strong digital fluency and a passion for developing digital products that prioritize user experience and functionality.
• Demonstrated success in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering impactful digital products or services across mobile and web platforms.

Requirements:

• Proven track record as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Proficient in tools like Jira, Confluence, and other Agile software.
• In-depth understanding of Scrum practices and artifacts (e.g., user stories, definition of done, backlog grooming).
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector, especially in managing digital products, is a distinct advantage.
• Strong skills in project management, team leadership, influence, and analysis.
• Ability to maintain a broad perspective while addressing technical aspects of digital initiatives.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.

• Familiarity with banking and wealth management products is a plus.
