Senior Application Development Manager | Bank | Perm | 90 -100k

• Lead multiple application development teams in supporting the development and production support for core banking and related branch systems in the Personal Banking Division
  

• Lead the planning and execution of core banking modernization program
  

• Liaise among relevant business units to understand their business needs and to lead the teams in delivering respective solutions for digital channels
  

• Manage vendor relationship for the systems related to core banking being used in the Personal Banking Division
  

• Act as the key information technology representative for core banking systems in the Personal Banking Division
  

• Participate in gearing the suite of systems to align with the Bank’s strategy in the information technology area
  

• Supervise, and develop the career paths for the resources assigned
  

• Collaborate with the Bank’s offshore information technology management team to optimize the use of the respective resources in the different areas
  

• Perform project decision making in considering information technology resources, budget, cost implications as well as risk impacts, and collaborating with stakeholders
  

• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity
  

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  

• Over 20 years’ working experience in IT of which at least 10 years as an IT System Development manager role in financial institutions
  

• In depth knowledge in core banking functions, such as CASA, Time Deposit, Foreign Exchange, Faster Payment, Auto -pay, Cheque Clearing, Branch Ticketing, etc.
  

• Experience in modernizing mainframe applications is an added advantage
  

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with good collaboration ability
  

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  

• Possess extensive implementation / support experience in system development and multi -vendor mission critical system
  

• Proficient in leading and motivating team members, collaborating with users and managing contractors / vendors as well as other external stakeholders
  

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
