Senior Associate / Manager p Reinsurance

On behalf of a leading insurance company, we are seeking an insurance / reinsurance professional with 3 – 7 years’ experience.

Role:

1. Guide the preparation, negotiation, structuring, and optimisation of treaties to maximise company benefits.
2. Oversee daily operations including payments, recoveries, claim notifications, data reporting, and special acceptance negotiations.
3. Build and maintain relationships with brokers and reinsurers, acting as the primary point of contact.
4. Assess and underwrite inward risks within delegated authority, ensuring optimal risk management.
5. Head daily accounting and reporting operations, collaborating with business partners for smooth transactions.
6. Support the Head Office in identifying and seizing fronting opportunities for efficient transactions.
7. Provide underwriting and product design suggestions, negotiating support from reinsurance networks.
8. Track business volume and performance, offering timely advice and alerts from a reinsurance perspective.

Requirements:

1. Strong understanding of treaty and facultative reinsurance, including data preparation, negotiation, and structure optimisation.
2. Experience in Treaty Reinsurance Facultative Inwards & Outwards is essential.
3. Experience managing daily operations in the reinsurance sector. Team leadership experience would be a bonus.
4. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Reinsurance Manager or equivalent.
5. Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
6. Knowledge of Business Development and Underwriting.
