Job Description - Senior Backend Engineer - API and Microservice

Responsibilities:
  • Perform the implementation on:
    • New API and Microservice foundation and framework on Cloud-based Kubernetes platform
    • Business projects of Core Banking domains, including Current / Saving / Deposit / Loan Banking Transaction, Interest Rate Management, Limit Control, etc.
  • Perform development, configuration and maintenance for applications with API-led and Microservices architecture.
  • Work with Infra team on the configuration of Microservce with Cloud-based container platform.
  • Work with DevSecOps / DevOps team on the integration with deployment solution and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot problem and propose recommendation to resolve issue, and collaborate with developers and/or external parties to resolve technical issue.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of microservice development experience. Candidate with less relevant experience would be considered as Backend Engineer.
  • The experience on Agile development or transformation to Microservice is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in application development with the following technologies, tools or related areas:
    • Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful API
    • Swagger
    • NoSQL (E.g. MongoDB) or SQL DB (E.g. MySQL / Oracle)
    • Git (E.g. Gitlab / Bitbucket / GitHub)
    • Maven
    • Cloud-based Kubernetes container platform
    • Docker
  • Experience in working with the following technologies, tools or related areas is a plus:
    • Distributed caching (E.g. Redis)
    • Junit / JMockit
    • Jenkins & pipeline (CI/CD), Nexus
    • API Gateway / API Management
    • MQ Technology (E.g. IBM MQ / Rabbit MQ)
    • Kafka
    • Distributed Transaction Management (E.g. Senta)
    • Service Mesh / Istio
    • Using Prometheus, Grafana, EFK, Jagear
  • Self-motivated, open mindset, ownership mindset, good problem solving and troubleshooting skills with strong "can-do" attitude.
  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English, Mandarin is an advantage.
