Job Description - Senior Business Manager - HK Business
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Handle operational incidents, customer complaints and escalation
Develop and execute control monitoring plans (as requested by Control Owners); work with Risk Owners to identify and oversee completion of remediation actions
Co-ordinate the Risk Control Assessment (RCA) process on behalf of Risk Owners and Control Owners as requested (e.g. trigger event monitoring; stakeholder engagement; meeting organisation and outputs etc.); engage Risk Stewards as required
Produce Business/Function operational risk reporting and insight based on RCA results for use by Risk Owners, Control Owners, Risk Stewards and wider stakeholders or governance Track and provide advice on the completion of management response actions; ensure timely and accurate recording in the operational risk management system
Promote non-financial risk awareness, including training and communications for the Business Assist the business in streamlining initiatives while maintaining/improving the risk control environment
Provide feedback, guidance and advice to the Business on proposed operational risk policy and likely impact
Establish/maintain strong working relationships with the risk owners, control owners and risk stewards to ensure the business is compliant
Work with the wider WPS product and journey owners to coordinate risk related issues and findings
Have a detailed understanding of Retail wealth Business in HK
Work with Wider HK business, 2LOD colleagues, to mitigate risk findings and put a plan in place to follow up and close high risk mscii
Closely monitor and coordinate on wealth audits and represent WPS team in the audit discussions
To be successful you will need:
Act as a liaison with Audit and Assurance teams to engage and facilitate the reviews for the Business
Drive the development and implementation of future-fit risk management frameworks
Act as escalation point for complex issues
Deliver priorities and strategy of Chief Control Office
Increase the understanding of HSBC's change execution risk profile in Wealth & Personal Banking and support proactive management of issues so that change is delivered safely and sustainably by the Businesses and Functions
Detailed understanding of Retail Wealth products and platforms
Must have expertise of working with Senior stakeholders and managing Wealth related discussions
Language- Spoken and Written Chinese - incl Mandarin and Cantonese
