Senior Buyer, APAC

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the implementation of buying strategies and budget proposals to achieve sales, profits as well as inventory targets
• Formulate OTB plan in terms of assortment, product category, and size ratio etc.
• Monitor merchandise flow including managing inventory, sales forecast, to maximize the company’s sales and profit targets
• Deploy effective stock replenishment and allocation plan in order to maintain optimal stock and SKU levels
• Analyze market trends and sales performance on merchandise categories
• Prepare various kind of sales/merchandise reports for management review
• Work on retail price setting, perform market research and competitors’ analysis
• Attend buying trip and product development meeting with HQ to provide product feedback on the collection
• Collaborate with marketing, VM and retail teams for all product launches, promotions, and PR activities
• Deliver seasonal product training to frontline team to ensure their product knowledge is up to standard
• Regular market visits to ensure good understanding of market needs and potentials

Requirements

• Degree Holder
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in buying and merchandising of fashion related items
• Strong business and numerical senses
• Passionate in fashion and retail industry
• Self-motivated and proactive in initiating new ideas
• With high adaptability to changing business requirement and across functional team environment
• Hands on analytical skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication and presentation skills

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate business trends and draw actionable conclusions to maximize business opportunities

• Advanced level of excel usage with aptitude to learn technical SW and operative tools;
• Team building ability and relationship skills;
• Demonstrate high value on team work spirit and eager to learn
• Proficient in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
