Senior C++ Engineer Asia Exchange Connectivity (Systematic Trading Team)

About the Role:

Our client, a top-tier global buyside firm, is actively seeking a highly skilled C++ Engineer to join their Systematic Trading Team in Hong Kong. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge trading systems, focusing on low-latency exchange connectivity across Asian markets .

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and optimise ultra-low-latency trading systems for Asian exchanges (e.g., TSE, HKEX, SGX, KRX, etc.).
2. Enhance exchange protocol connectivity (FIX, binary protocols, proprietary APIs) and market data feeds.
3. Work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to implement high-performance execution strategies.
4. Troubleshoot and optimise real-time trading infrastructure for minimal latency and maximum reliability.
5. Stay ahead of regulatory and technological changes in Asian markets to ensure seamless connectivity.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 5+ years of C++ development experience in a low-latency trading environment .
2. Strong expertise in exchange connectivity (order entry, market data, drop copy) across Asian markets .
3. Deep understanding of network protocols , multi-threading, and kernel-level optimisations.
4. Experience with Linux/Unix systems , performance tuning, and debugging tools (gdb, perf, Wireshark).
5. Knowledge of Python or scripting languages is a plus.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative trading environment.
