Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Case Manager to support our growing high-net-worth portfolio. This role is central to managing jumbo life insurance cases end-to-end — from illustration to policy issuance — while acting as the key bridge between sales teams, insurers, and medical partners. The ideal candidate combines deep financial underwriting expertise with strong negotiation skills and the ability to build internal capability across the team.

Key Responsibilities

HNW case & underwriting management

1. Manage cases end-to-end: illustration, application, underwriting coordination, and policy issuance
2. Handle jumbo life insurance cases involving complex financial documents, trust structures, and premium financing
3. Apply professional judgment on health indicators and formulate underwriting strategies
4. Leverage insurer relationships to expedite approvals and negotiate favourable terms
5. Coordinate with health underwriting clinics and manage all medical requirements

Stakeholder & cross-functional collaboration

1. Act as primary liaison among RMs, Internal Specialists, clients, insurers, and compliance teams
2. Provide underwriting insights and case positioning strategies to sales teams
3. Support cross-department communication across compliance, legal, and operations

Negotiation & influence

1. Proactively negotiate with insurer underwriters on ratings, exclusions, and offers
2. Identify bottlenecks and resolve conflicts to drive client satisfaction

Training & internal capability building

1. Deliver internal training to IS and RMs on underwriting logic, health indicators, and case packaging
2. Share market intelligence and underwriting best practices across the team

Compliance & documentation

1. Ensure all cases comply with IA regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and internal policies
2. Maintain accurate CRM records and support internal audits

Skills & Competencies

Experience & qualifications

1. 8+ years in insurance brokerage, bancassurance, or HNW case management
2. Proven track record in financial underwriting for jumbo life insurance cases (mandatory)
3. Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field

Technical & professional skills

1. Strong knowledge of IUL, Whole Life, ILAS, Critical Illness, legacy planning, and premium financing
2. Ability to interpret health indicators (blood tests, BMI, medical history) and apply underwriting judgment
3. Established relationships with major Hong Kong insurers, including underwriting and business development teams
4. Familiarity with local health underwriting clinics and referral processes
5. Solid negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable underwriting outcomes
6. Cross-functional communication experience spanning compliance, legal, sales, and operations

Training & soft skills

1. Proven ability to deliver internal training to IS and RMs, formally or on the job
2. Strong presentation and knowledge-transfer skills

Language & compliance

1. IIQE Papers 1–5 required
2. Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese; strong written English
