Senior Consultant - Data Science & Analytics

We are looking for a talented Data Scientist / Data Analytics expert to support our clients’ activities in Hong Kong. You might find yourself working in one or more of the following disciplines to help our clients achieve their aims:

• Machine/Deep learning and statistics- Development of explanatory and predictive models for decision support through the development of algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis, etc.
• Operational research- Assistance in the design and implementation of constrained optimisation solutions and simulation models.
• Big Data- Algorithmic knowledge for the processing of large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with our client’s leadership teams, engineers, program managers and data analysts to understand data needs.
• Identify, acquire, process and explore relevant data sources.
• Analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured information to discover trends and patterns.
• Use your data analytics and science expertise to derive valuable insights from datasets, build use cases, predictive models and/or machine-learning algorithms.
• Communicate at scale, through multiple mediums: presentations, dashboards, datasets, bots and more.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
• Manage a broad range of projects and deliverables, including models, algorithms, datasets, measurements, services, tools and process.
• Actively contribute to the development of Sia Partners 'assets' and IP including methodology, tools, templates, guidelines and lead initiatives to continuously improve and integrate them with other Sia Partners assets across the Practice.
• Support the development of content and pitches for practice-related opportunities and proposals
• Build and maintain your own external professional peer networks.

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst (ideally in consulting)
• At least a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a relevant area of study (Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics or a related field of study) from a top university
• Good skills in Python and ideally another analytical language (e.g., R, SQL, Scala)
• Hands-on experience ingesting and processing data, building models, and delivering outputs (shipping code, deploying models, publishing dashboards, etc.)
• Problem-solving aptitude and strong business acumen
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English and Cantonese is a must. Additionaly proficiency in any other Asian languages would be advantageous
• Strong plus: Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
• Strong plus: Hands-on experience and certifications with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba cloud)
• Strong plus: Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and infrastructure
