Work you'll do

An Oracle EBS Technical Consultant designs, develops, customizes, integrates, and supports Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) systems, bridging business requirements with technical implementation and ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability.

Core Responsibilities

1. Requirement & Solution Design

• Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and clients to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into technical specifications.


• Conduct technical feasibility assessments and design scalable, maintainable solutions for EBS customizations, integrations, and extensions.


• Create detailed technical design documents (TDD), data models, and interface specifications.

2. Development & Customization

• Develop and customize EBS components using core tools:




• PL/SQL for stored procedures, functions, triggers, and data manipulation.


• Oracle Forms, Reports, XML Publisher (BI Publisher) for custom screens and reports.


• Oracle Workflow Builder for workflow automation.


• Oracle Application Framework (OAF) for web-based customizations.




• Build custom interfaces, data migration scripts, and WebADI integrations for data exchange with third-party systems.

3. System Integration & Data Management

• Design and implement integrations between EBS and external systems.


• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across EBS modules and integrated systems.

4. Performance & Maintenance

• Diagnose and resolve EBS application and database performance issues; conduct SQL tuning, index optimization, and system configuration adjustments.


• Monitor system health, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents, and implement preventive fixes.

5. Testing & Deployment

• Execute unit, integration, and UAT testing for custom developments; debug and resolve defects.


• Deploy solutions to staging and production environments following change management protocols.


• Conduct post-deployment validation and support go-live activities.

6. Support & Documentation

• Provide production support, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve incidents in a timely manner.


• Create and maintain technical documentation: design specs, user guides, operation manuals, and change logs.


• Train end-users and junior team members on EBS technical processes and custom solutions.

7. Project & Compliance

• Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery; coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.


• Adhere to Oracle EBS development standards, best practices, and enterprise security/compliance policies.

We are looking for someone with

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in PL/SQL, and Oracle database administration basics.


• Hands-on experience with EBS development tools: Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, Workflow, OAF, and Open Interfaces/APIs.


• Deep knowledge of EBS architecture, data models, and core modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, PO, INV).


• Experience with EBS R12.x (especially R12.2) and cloud integration (OCI/Fusion) is preferred.


• Knowledge of performance tuning, debugging, and system patching/upgrades.

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS technical development/implementation/support experience.


• Experience in full-cycle EBS projects (implementation, upgrade, support) is a plus.
