Job Description - (Senior) Data Scientist (Permanent, up to 75k)

About the role

We are seeking a (Senior) Data Scientist to join and transform business behavior and production metrics into a roadmap for sustainable business growth. You will bridge the gap between complex technical modeling-including GenAI integration-and executive decision-making.

Decode business behavior and production patterns to pinpoint growth drivers and efficiency bottlenecks, translating raw data into high-impact business opportunities.
Design and deploy predictive models focused on performance optimization, retention, lead conversion, and long-term strategic planning.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for leadership, embedding advanced analytics into the core of management strategies through data-validated recommendations.
Engineer intuitive dashboards and reporting suites that empower stakeholders with real-time visibility and agile decision-making capabilities.
Synthesize complex analytical findings into persuasive narratives and presentations tailored for senior management.
Spearhead data enrichment projects, merging internal datasets with external market intelligence to sharpen targeting and opportunity assessments.
Orchestrate the end-to-end lifecycle-from design to change management-of Generative AI solutions designed to augment productivity and automate business processes.
Guide and elevate the technical output of junior data scientists and project teams, ensuring excellence and timely delivery on key initiatives.
Maintain rigorous oversight of all analytical workflows to ensure total alignment with the Authority regulations, privacy laws, and internal ethical standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, CS, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Econometrics)
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data science or analytics, ideally within the insurance, fintech, or management consulting sectors.
With understanding of insurance business
Poficient in SQL and Python, Power BI.
Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and automation tools, with a demonstrated ability to move AI experiments into scalable enterprise production.
Self-motivated professional who thrives as an individual contributor while managing high-stakes deliverables.
Good communication skills with a proven ability to sway senior leadership through evidence-based storytelling.
Proficient in Chinese and English
