Job Description - Senior Director, Investment Strategist GC, International Bank

Your new company

  • We are partnering with a leading international bank to identify a Senior Director, Invesment Strategist to cover the Greater China region. This is a high-impact role within a globally recognised FICC platform, responsible for delivering macro insights, shaping client engagement, and supporting trading and sales strategies across rates and broader asset classes.

Your new role
  • Develop and communicate macro-economic views on Greater China, with a focus on China and regional market dynamics
  • Provide actionable trade ideas and strategy across FICC, with particular emphasis on USD and CNY rates markets
  • Partner closely with trading, sales, and structuring teams to drive revenue-generating ideas and client solutions
  • Engage directly with institutional clients, delivering thought leadership through presentations, reports, and market commentary
  • Monitor global macro trends (Fed policy, PBOC developments, inflation, growth dynamics) and assess implications for regional markets
  • Represent the bank in external forums, client meetings, and media engagements as required

What you'll need to succeed
  • Extensive experience (typically 12-15+ years) in macro strategy, rates strategy, or related FICC roles
  • Deep expertise in interest rates, particularly USD and CNY curves, with strong understanding of cross-market dynamics
  • Strong familiarity with Greater China markets, including policy frameworks and capital market developments
  • Proven track record of generating actionable investment ideas and influencing client decisions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex macro views clearly
  • Native or fluent Chiense and English required
