Senior Engineer (Java) - Digital Asset Exchange

Our client, a global exchange is looking for a talented Senior Engineer to join their team. They are dedicated to building a cutting-edge trading platform that provides a secure trading experience for users worldwide.

The Role
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the systems that power the core of the exchange. You will be designing and implementing the critical infrastructure behind user management, fund security, risk management, and compliance.
You will work on high-impact, high-volume microservices that require extreme attention to detail and robustness. If you enjoy solving complex cross-stack problems and building scalable financial systems, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement backend services and solutions for the derivatives exchange platform using Java.
• Partner with Product Management to optimize existing models and develop new algorithms and features.
• Participate in code audits, write tests, and ensure the reliability of the platform through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with the Security and DevOps teams to build and maintain a highly secure, scalable infrastructure.
• Manage code repositories and maintain clear documentation for all function implementations.
• Identify bottlenecks in the backend infrastructure and implement robust solutions.

 Requirements

• Min 6+ years of professional experience programming in Java.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience building rapidly deployable systems and familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Candidates with a background at an Investment Bank, Hedge Fund, or another Exchange are highly preferred, especially those who have worked on trading applications.
