The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts owns and operates two award-winning hotels in Singapore: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (opened in 2001) and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (opened in 2010). Both hotels anchor the historic and cultural Fullerton Heritage precinct, located in Marina Bay - the heart of Singapore’s city centre. The Fullerton Hotel Sydney debuted in October 2019, in the historic former Sydney General Post Office, marking The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts’ first international expansion.
The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong will be the first waterfront resort on Hong Kong Island, with over 400 guest rooms overlooking the spectacular South China Sea, located at the foot of the city’s most popular attraction in the Southside.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving catering/banquet revenues as well as the targets set by the DOE within the year (generation of leads, prospecting, converting, team goals establishment, employee satisfaction survey results, etc.)
- Assist in identifying market needs and trends in Catering, Wedding, Social, Conference, Corporate businesses, defining the target markets, review direct competition and ensure complete awareness by all sales team of competitor’s activities, strategies, and promotion
- Develop existing business and solicit new catering business through catering lead generation and catering sales marketing, solicit new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques
- Compilation key financial reports for business analysis, event & catering budget business plan, regular budget and forecast reports, team production tracking/management
- Conduct market research on competitors’ analysis and market trends; monitor competitor set activities and intelligence sources to identify sources of business and prospect new leads/accounts to exceed fair market share performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’ degree or above, major in hospitality or event management is preferrable
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Catering Sales position
- Aggressive and positive working attitude
- Solid sales experience in F&B, event and wedding planning within hotel / resort area, extensive knowledge and background in wedding planning / sales
- In-depth industry knowledge and previous exposure to hotel social catering sales model
- Able to manage the identification and resolution of day-to-day problems related to event/wedding requests
- Excellent Mandarin and English written and verbal communication skills
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Event Sales Manager
