Senior Finance Manager (Asset Manager)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to partner closely with the investment deal team, oversee the financial and investment operations, and treasury functions for a prominent investment manager. You will be responsible for managing fund performance, investor reporting, liquidity, and risk, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial activities.

Summary of the role and key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end finance and investment operaitons, including the supervision and review of monthly/quarterly Net Asset Value calculations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Limited Partner (LP) communications, addressing inquiries, producing comprehensive quarterly reports, and crafting investor presentations.
• Lead the coordination of annual financial audits and oversee tax compliance submissions for fund entities and their special purpose vehicles.
• Conduct cash flow forecasting to ensure optimal fund liquidity and develop hedging programs to mitigate currency and interest rate exposure.
• Administer all fund financing activities, encompassing capital calls, distributions, and the utilization of credit facilities.
• Generate periodic risk management reports, monitor adherence to loan covenants, and perform in-depth analysis of fund performance and valuation methodologies.
• Proactively identify, assess, and escalate key financial and operational risks.

Key skills required

• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with 7-15 years of progressive experience in financial and regulatory reporting.
• Must have proven experience within an SFC-licensed financial institution or a similarly regulated environment.
• Expert knowledge of Hong Kong accounting standards and deep familiarity with SFC regulatory requirements, especially FRR.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Power BI, SQL, or VBA is a strong advantage.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills in English. Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
