Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Ultra Low Latency Trading

My client, a leading Financial Institution, is currently seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to own the end-to-end delivery Trading Infrastructure and Ultra-low-latency Networking projects. Working within the Quant Solutions Technology team, you will be responsible for the following.

Responsibilities

1. Own and manage a book of work comprising multiple concurrent infrastructure and connectivity initiatives
2. Translate business and IT strategy into prioritised delivery roadmaps and execution plans
3. Lead delivery of ultra-low-latency trading infrastructure across trading systems and exchange venues
4. Be the primary delivery interface with stock exchanges, clients, vendors, and third parties
5. Work with aligned network and infrastructure teams for key decisions on the design of network architecture
6. Coordinate delivery of servers, network hardware, and supporting infrastructure components
7. Manage cross-program dependencies, delivery risk, governance, and executive reporting
8. Provide senior-level escalation management and operational readiness oversight
9. Oversee 3rd-level transition into Production Services

Requirements

1. 8-10 years of experience working in Electronic Trading, delivering ultra-low-latency, high-performance trading solutions and complex infrastructure initiatives, with demonstrated programme management ownership
2. Proven leadership of infrastructure programmes, including Co-Location buildouts and experience with stock exchange infrastructure and network technologies
3. Strong networking and Linux knowledge, as well as trading and market data infrastructure experience
4. Excellent Equities trading lifecycle experience and knowledge, with an awareness of security and operational risk in large-scale environments
5. Strong senior stakeholder influencing capabilities with excellent communication skills
