Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong
The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

China Hong KongJob Responsibilities:
Obtain and review relevant policies and procedures to understand business control function’s roles and responsibilities in credit risk management on specific types of collateral management;
Prepare credit risk control framework by defining review scope, approach and reporting requirements and mechanism;
Perform internal control reviews as per credit risk control framework and identify deficiencies in key controls implemented by business control function;
Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of remedial actions implemented and summarize the assessment result in post-implementation review reports;
Work with business control function to follow up credit risk data quality issues to identity the responsible parties, root cause and remediation actions etc., and prepare quarterly report of corporate credit risk data quality for management review;
Update guidelines on quality assurance review of regulatory reporting (“QA Guidelines”) on an annual basis, or as otherwise required;
Plan and perform QA review in accordance with the QA review plan and prepare QA review reports;
Investigate the root causes of errors or deficiencies identified in QA reviews and provide recommendations with respect to remedial actions to address the errors or deficiencies identified in QA reviews.
Requirements:
Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or Related Discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience in credit risk management in banking / finance industry.
Strong experience in quality assurance review or internal control review in respect of credit risk management including development of policies and procedures, review plan, review approach and procedures, review report and training material etc.
Strong quantitative analysis and report preparation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office. Holder of HKICPA, CFA, CCRP(CPM) or ECF-CRM will be an advantage.
Self-motivated, detail-minded, organize and able to work independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
