(Senior) Manager, Data Science ($50-90k + bonus) - insurance

This is a leading insurance institution. They are expanding their Data Science team to leverage the use of AI into growth of business. This is a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer and agency behavior across marketing, sales, servicing, and retention journeys
• Develop predictive and machine learning models (e.g. propensity, churn, conversion, segmentation)
• Design and develop GenAI use cases such as customer insights summarization, agent copilots, and personalized recommendations
• Conduct data exploration, feature engineering, and model validation using structured and unstructured data
• Translate business problems into data science and AI solutions with clear success metrics
• Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to productionize models and GenAI solutions
• Communicate insights and model results clearly to business and leadership stakeholders
• Support data governance, model monitoring, and responsible AI practices

Requirements

• Master's Degree or above in Computer Science/Mathematic/Data Science or in relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning roles
• Strong experience analyzing customer and/or agency data, preferably within insurance or financial services
• Hands-on experience with Python and common data science libraries (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, ML frameworks)
• Practical exposure to GenAI / LLM-based solutions, including POCs or applied use cases
• Experience working with large datasets, data warehouses, and analytics platforms
• Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data modeling
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent commands in both Cantonese and English necessary.
