Our Foster Care program aims to provide safe and nurturing environments for children in need. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Charities Manager to lead our efforts in this critical area.
Position Overview: The Senior Charities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Foster Care category, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and support to foster families and children. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to enhancing the foster care experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services related to foster care that align with organizational goals and meet the needs of children and families.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including foster families, social services, community organizations, and government agencies.
Policy Development:
Advocate for best practices and policies that support the foster care system, working to influence positive change in the community.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of service delivery.
Funding and Resource Development:
Identify funding opportunities and develop proposals to secure resources for foster care initiatives. Manage donor relationships and grant reporting.
Community Outreach:
Raise awareness of foster care issues through community engagement, events, and partnerships, fostering a supportive network for foster families.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish metrics and evaluate program outcomes to continuously improve services and ensure alignment with best practices.
Reporting:
Prepare reports for senior management, stakeholders, and funding organizations to communicate program progress and impact.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on foster care or child welfare.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of foster care regulations, policies, and best practices.
Proven experience in program development and evaluation.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
