Senior Officer (Job Function: Marketing) (23240551)

The Research Office (RO) is looking for a meticulous team player with hands-on experience in event management and different marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will join the RO and perform the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Support the University's research initiatives, cultivate research culture, and foster collaborations;
• Plan, coordinate, and execute different scales of research-related events, such as networking events, seminars, exhibitions, symposiums, luncheons, etc.;
• Assist in different marketing initiatives including but not limited to, the operation of social media channels and websites, and the production of marketing collaterals such as e-newsletters, videos, souvenirs, etc.;
• Support committee work and administrative work within the team; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• A recognised degree in Marketing, Public Relations & Communications, or related disciplines;
• At least four years of experience in event and marketing; familiarity with the higher education sector is an advantage;
• High proficiency in design software such as Canva/ Adobe Illustrator/ Photoshop is preferred;
• Meticulousness, good communication and problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of responsibility;
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team; 
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
• Ability to work in multitasking and under tight timelines.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
