Job Description - Senior Officer to Manager (Operation Policy Section) - Operations Management Department)

Job Responsibilities

Design and perform on-site and off-site inspection programs to ensure the adherence to internal and external procedures and guidelines
Manage and monitor the operational activities of operations departments and branches to ensure smooth operation processes and adequate controls are in place
Develop assessment indicators for branch operational management, conduct regular evaluation on branch operations, and provide guidance for improving branch operations quality
Provide guidance and on-the-job training to the department and branch operation staff, assist them in related assignments
Review, revise and give comments on operations procedure manuals
Implement risk related projects which can facilitate the risk management process for both branch and operational activities

Requirements

University graduates in Banking or related disciplines
Minimum 8 years of banking experience, with at least 5 years' experience in risk management or setting up controls measures in branch operations and back office
Experience in formulating the branch control checklist and conducting regular checking to ensure that the staff adheres to the branch operating procedures
Good understanding on branch operational procedures, banking products and services
Familiar with banking regulations and requirements, as well as the Bank's internal policy
Good analytical, communication and inter-personal skills with strong risk control sense, able to work independently
Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese, as well as good reporting and writing skills
Candidate with project management experience is preferable
Conversant with MS Office such as Word, Excel
