Senior Programme Officer, School of Continuing Education

SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.  It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage.  Applications are now invited for the following position:

Senior Programme Officer (25260713)

The appointee will provide administrative support to the self-funded undergraduate programmes.  Major duties include coordinating course registration, timetabling and class scheduling, admissions and student affairs; providing teaching and learning support to teaching staffs and students; consolidating data and preparing documents for statistical analysis and reporting; providing secretarial support to various committees; and handling students' enquiries and matters. He/She will also be required to supervise frontline staff.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant work experience;


• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to details, organised and analytical mindset;


• Competence in computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing) and IT skills; 


• Ability to multitask under tight schedules; and


• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
