Senior Project Officer [133k / Kowloon Bay / 8 Months Contract]

Job Duties

(i) Leading a team to provide professional support in formulating strategies in the development of Community Recycling Network (CRN) relating to tenders and contracts;

(ii) Reviewing existing contract provisions of the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations for adoption in new operation contracts;

(iii) Overseeing the contracts of R Stores and R Stations;

(iv) Preparing operation guidelines for monitoring and reporting the performance of GREEN-COMMUNITY facilities;

(v) Handling enquiries from press, District Council and Legislative Council relating to GREEN-COMMUNITY facilities;

(vi) Attend District Council Meetings, Area Committee Meetings and other related meetings; and

(vii) Managing stakeholders relationships and liaising with government departments.

Requirements

(i) A Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering subject; or equivalent;

(ii) At least 15 years' full-time relevant working experience in environmental protection field and at least 4 years' full-time relevant working experience in waste management. Experience in handling tender documents on waste management and liaison with potential bidders are preferable;

(iii) At least 5 years' full-time working experience in supervising a team of professional staff;

(iv) Be knowledgeable in Government procedures/requirements for procurement;

(v) Have a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; and

(vi) Be able to speak fluent Cantonese.
