Senior Systems Development Manager - AVP - Listing Systems - IT

Job Summary:
We are seeking a senior manager with strong hands-on analytical capabilities to join our team, contributing to both project delivery and production support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and support of critical application systems for the Listing Division.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project implementation activities, including business requirement analysis, resource estimation, testing, cutover, post-launch support, and documentation.
• Support project delivery and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
• Participate in project planning, timeline management, change and issue management, and release planning. Monitor project progress, ensure milestone adherence, and communicate status updates effectively.
• Act as the primary contact for external vendors-monitoring their performance, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables, providing required information, and escalating vendor-related issues when necessary.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, resolving application issues promptly and effectively.
• Analyze application requirements, evaluate solution options, and lead the design and implementation of application solutions.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and compliance with requirements.
• Produce detailed documentation including requirements specifications, functional and technical specifications, end-to-end process flows, and use cases.
• Work closely with business users and IT teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and that delivered solutions meet business needs.
• Contribute to the timely delivery of projects in line with defined scope, quality expectations, and timelines.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a senior system analyst or in similar roles within major financial institutions or client-facing web application projects.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText Documentum administration and support.
• Strong experience in stakeholder requirement gathering and translating business needs into actionable technical plans.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, system integration, and technical testing.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities under both waterfall and agile methodologies, with familiarity in best practices and documentation standards.
• Proven experience in software development using Java and/or .NET technologies.
• Working knowledge or exposure to Apache Tomcat, PEGA Platform, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Docker, JIRA, Microsoft Windows, and SQL Server is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and work with new technologies.
• Knowledge of the equity securities and broader financial industry is preferred.
