Job Description - (Senior) Systems Support Specialist (Windows/Linux)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1-2 technical support for Windows or Linux servers, desktops, and related infrastructure.
  • Perform system installation, configuration, patching, and routine maintenance across both environments.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access following company policies.
  • Monitor system performance and availability; proactively identify potential risks or resource bottlenecks.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and change logs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing IT initiatives.
  • Assist in server upgrades, migration projects, and deployment of new tools or applications.
  • Support backup/recovery processes and contribute to incident response activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in Windows Server or Linux administration
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and shell scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
