Senior Tech Lead

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Tech Lead.

In this role you will:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology change in line with HSBC IT Governance Controls and Change Framework.
• Establish and run delivery governance to keep delivery on track and unblock teams quickly.
• Own delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and interlocks across multiple workstreams and teams (onshore/offshore).
• Partner with Product Owner, Operations, and Risk/Compliance stakeholders to translate business outcomes into deliverable technical scope.
• Manage delivery status and provide clear recommendations to support timely decisions and benefits realization.
• Drive Agile delivery and ways of working, ensuring teams deliver iteratively with strong engineering discipline, predictable cadence, and stakeholder alignment.
• Provide technical direction and design leadership for modernization and growth initiatives ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and operable.
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture and engineering teams to shape solution options, produce design artefacts, and present designs to stakeholders.

To be successful you will need:

• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology (or equivalent experience).
• Solid experience leading technology delivery in a financial institution; wealth/investment product domain knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong legacy modernization and digital transformation experience.
• Proven track record delivering medium-to-large initiatives on time and on budget, achieving business-case outcomes.
• Strong Agile delivery leadership experience across distributed teams (e.g., HK + Mainland).
• Cross-boundary delivery and stakeholder management experience across business, operations, and risk.
• Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of ownership and quality orientation.
