Job Description - Shipping Clerk and Admin Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping:
Completing customs forms and filing import/export declarations
Preparing bills of lading, packing slips, commercial invoices, and other shipping documents
Coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely processing of shipments
Maintaining detailed records of all import/export transactions and packaging information
Communicating with customers, carriers, suppliers and other stakeholders regarding shipment status and documentation
Prepare shipment
Administrative Support:
Filing and organizing records and documentation
Maintaining electronic and physical filing systems
Providing general office support, such as answering phones, data entry, etc
The ideal candidate will have:
2+ years of experience in a shipping, logistics, and/or administrative role
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and documentation requirements for international trade
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Responsible, positive and has a can-do attitude
Good command of written and spoken English
