Shipping Clerk and Admin Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping:

• Completing customs forms and filing import/export declarations
• Preparing bills of lading, packing slips, commercial invoices, and other shipping documents
• Coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely processing of shipments
• Maintaining detailed records of all import/export transactions and packaging information
• Communicating with customers, carriers, suppliers and other stakeholders regarding shipment status and documentation
• Prepare shipment

Administrative Support:

• Filing and organizing records and documentation
• Maintaining electronic and physical filing systems
• Providing general office support, such as answering phones, data entry, etc

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of experience in a shipping, logistics, and/or administrative role
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and documentation requirements for international trade
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Responsible, positive and has a can-do attitude
• Good command of written and spoken English
