Software Developer - Backend Dev

IDX Games / idNerd Studio is looking for experience backend developer to join our growing team. As a backend developer, you will be involve in developing our product using Golang, as well as other databased technologies. 

You will work together with product managers, software dev managers, as well as company technical leadership team to create world class gaming products for the casino / gaming industry.

Responsibilities: 

• Execute system, database, and architectural design in alignment with project specifications, emphasizing scalability, performance, and security. 


• Create server-side logic and APIs for solutions while offering mentorship, guidance, and assistance. 


• Collaborate closely with front-end developers and UX designers to craft, develop, and launch top-tier software solutions efficiently. 


• Engage in hands-on development to uphold code quality and adhere to best practices. 


• Coordinate with product managers to tailor development strategies following Waterfall and Agile methodologies. 


• Ensure timely project delivery meeting internal standards and industry benchmarks. 


• Aid in requirement examination, analysis, research and development, design, documentation, deployment, and coordination with users, technical, and operational teams. 


• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to remain current and informed in development practices. 

Qualifications: 

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development, primarily focusing on backend development. 


• Proficiency in Golang and Node.js with practical hands-on expertise. 


• Comprehensive understanding of web applications, Linux, and API development (HTTP, REST, and web sockets). 


• Practical exposure to SQL, Kafka, and PostgreSQL. 


• Proficiency in Git, Docker and Docker Hub. 


• Proficiency in Prometheus is highly advantageous. 


• Experience with setting up virtual machine hosts and clients is highly advantageous. 


• Self-driven and capable of working autonomously. 


• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies with the ability to adapt to varied project management approaches. 


• Exceptional teamwork capabilities, including experience collaborating in cross-functional teams. 


• Strong communication skills in both Cantonese and English, both written and verbal.
