Your new company

A Hong Kong-based investment platform is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its investment activities and affiliated fund and asset management businesses. The role will provide legal, regulatory, compliance and risk management support across the platform and its investment vehicles, working closely with senior management and business teams in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Your new role

• Provide legal advice on day-to-day corporate and investment matters, including strategic investments, joint ventures, and shareholder arrangements
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and investment-related agreements
• Support fund formation, structuring, fundraising, and ongoing operational matters
• Manage and coordinate external counsel in Hong Kong and other jurisdictions
• Monitor and interpret applicable laws and regulations relevant to the company and its funds
• Support compliance with Hong Kong regulatory requirements (including SFC-related matters where applicable)
• Assist with regulatory filings, disclosures, and responses to regulatory enquiries
• Support compliance training and internal compliance monitoring
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and risk management frameworks

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified lawyer with 6-10+ years' PQE
• Background in corporate, banking & finance, investment funds, or financial services
• Experience gained from a reputable law firm and/or in-house at an investment, financial institution, or asset management platform
• Familiarity with Hong Kong regulatory and compliance frameworks; PRC exposure is a strong advantage.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills
• Able to operate in a structured, policy-driven and risk-aware environment
• Fluent in English; Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is highly preferred.
