Solution Architect and AI (Associate Director level)

Your new role

• Champion engineering and innovation best practices across multiple technology and digital product initiatives.
• Develop and implement frameworks, standards, and governance processes that improve solution quality, consistency, and delivery outcomes.
• Provide guidance to project and product teams on solution architecture, technical design, and delivery approaches.
• Lead technical review sessions and governance forums to assess architecture quality, scalability, security, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Establish quality assessment methodologies, KPIs, scorecards, and benchmarking processes to track product and delivery performance.
• Partner closely with technology, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to enhance governance and software delivery practices in an AI-driven environment.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying practical opportunities to improve innovation capabilities and operational effectiveness.
• Prepare executive-level reporting and recommendations, translating technical findings into actionable business insights.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in software engineering, technology delivery, architecture, or innovation leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of modern technology ecosystems, including cloud platforms, APIs, integration technologies, data solutions, and AI-enabled applications.
• Proven experience establishing engineering standards, governance frameworks, review processes, and quality assurance practices across large-scale organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence solution design and architecture decisions while working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience leading technical governance forums, architecture reviews, or delivery assurance activities within enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, risk controls, and technology governance.
• Familiarity with product quality measurement, benchmarking methodologies, and performance reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and senior business leaders.
