Job Description - Solution Sales Expert - SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC)

Role Overview


The Solution Account Lead (SAL) is a strategic leader who combines deep SAP expertise, business acumen, and end-to-end solution area domain knowledge to drive LoB cloud revenue, customer success, accelerate adoption of innovation (especially AI), and position the organization as a market leader. The SAL shapes transformative solutions and delivers measurable value to customers through thought leadership, innovation, and strategic execution—supporting both specific Lines of Business (LoB) and the overall “One SAP” strategy.


We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Sales Manager to lead and grow the sales of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) solutions. This role focuses on driving data platform and AI-related business across strategic enterprise customers, working closely with customers, partners, and internal cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities


       •      Own and drive end-to-end sales for the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) portfolio, including data platform, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions


       •      Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue and expand SAP’s data and AI footprint in target customers


       •      Engage with C-level executives and senior business stakeholders to articulate the value of data-driven transformation and AI-powered business scenarios


       •      Collaborate closely with pre-sales, solution architects, product teams, and partners to design and deliver customer-centric solutions


       •      Identify and develop new business opportunities in data platform modernization, cloud data architecture, and AI use cases


       •      Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships based on trust and value creation


       •      Accurately forecast pipeline, manage complex deal cycles, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets


 


Required Qualifications


       •      Minimum 10 years of experience in IT industry sales, preferably in enterprise software or cloud solutions


       •      At least 5 years of experience in data platforms, analytics, data management, or related fields


       •      Proven successful track record in selling AI-related solutions, including AI-enabled analytics, data-driven decision platforms, or intelligent applications


       •      Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, cloud platforms, and the role of data in AI innovation


       •      Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior executives


       •      Strong team collaboration skills and experience working in matrix and cross-functional organizations


       •      Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders


 


Language Requirements


       •      Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English (spoken and written)


 


Preferred Qualifications


       •      Experience selling SAP solutions or working within the SAP ecosystem


       •      Familiarity with cloud data platforms, AI frameworks, and modern data architectures


       •      Experience working with large enterprise or multinational customers
