Description
- Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for a diverse portfolio of lighting products, including lamps, luminaires, controls, and accessories.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new and existing suppliers, understand industry trends, and benchmark pricing and quality standards.
- Lead the supplier identification, evaluation, and selection process, ensuring a robust and compliant sourcing pipeline.
- Negotiate favorable commercial terms, including pricing, lead times, quality requirements, and service-level agreements, with selected suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement plans with product development, sales, and operational requirements.
- Manage and monitor supplier performance, addressing any quality, delivery, or compliance issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the supply base, identify cost-saving initiatives, and implement process improvements to enhance the overall procurement function.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of supplier information, pricing, and contractual details to support informed decision-making.
- Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on sourcing performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a sourcing or procurement role, with a strong focus on lighting categories or a related industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of the global lighting industry, including market trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations, contract management, and collaborative partnership development.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
