Special Asset Assistant/ Manager, Banks

Our client is a leading bank in the financial services sector. The role involves evaluating credit risk and managing collections for SME loans.

Responsibilities

• Manage small enterprise (SME) and corporate non-performing loans (NPLs) to improve recoveries and reduce the NPL portfolio.
• Negotiate restructurings or repayment arrangements with stakeholders; coordinate with collection agencies and monitor progress on problematic loans.
• Develop and implement targeted strategies and action plans for specific NPL accounts; regularly review and track recovery initiatives.
• Initiate and oversee legal actions against NPL debtors and collateral enforcement, sale of collateral, and disposal of repossessed assets.
• Prepare comprehensive credit applications for NPL accounts, including security enforcement details, legal actions, provisions, and asset classifications.
• Prepare credit proposals outlining recovery strategies, debt restructuring options, and charge-off recommendations.
• Generate and present credit analysis reports to support decision-making and recovery efforts.

Requirements

• Degree in banking, finance, risk management, or law preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in credit risk management or banking, with a strong background in special asset management.
• Familiarity with NPL management practices, including documentation, collateral enforcement, and legal processes.
• Excellent credit analysis and negotiation skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and English.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
• Ability to produce clear, data-driven credit analysis reports and present findings to stakeholders.
