Job Highlights

• Attained English Language (Syl.B) and Chinese Language at Grade E or above in the H.K.C.E.E
• a recognized degree in Social Work or equivalent
• registered under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap.505) as Registered Social Work
• at least 8 years’ post-qualification experience in the rank of Assistant Social Work Officer/Social Worker I / Social Worker II / Assistant Planning Officer II, or equivalent; and
• proficiency in English and Chinese

Role and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise service delivery;
• Monitor service output and plan for the service direction;
• Supervise staff teams and provide professional supporting handling cases and referrals;
• Responsible for the manpower planning and deployment;
• Render budgetary control on the home-base and centre-based services;
• Liaise with strategic partners for service promotion and development; and
• Prepare and submit statistical reports to senior management.

Entry Requirement:

• Attained English Language (Syl.B) and Chinese Language at Grade E or above in the H.K.C.E.E
• a recognized degree in Social Work or equivalent
• registered under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap.505) as Registered Social Work
• at least 8 years’ post-qualification experience in the rank of Assistant Social Work Officer/Social Worker I / Social Worker II / Assistant Planning Officer II, or equivalent; and
• proficiency in English and Chinese

Compensation and Employment Terms:

• Currently $79,930 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 34). The successful candidate will be remunerated according to the prevailing policies on entry salary and may have to accepted a downward adjusting of his/her existing salary. His/Her current performance-related salary review date, if any, will be subject to review upon change of appointment.
• The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review.
• The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.
• The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
• The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
• Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
