Pay\:                                      HK$17,611 to HK$38,290 (HGPS Point 2 to 15) per month including Monthly Allowance
                                              Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
 

Key Responsibilities:
1.    Assist in procurement functions including product sourcing, price research, purchase requisition, quotation/tender administration, commitment monitoring, etc. 
2.    Assist in preparation of quotation/tender documents and routine correspondence for purchase of medical equipment, medical consumables, etc. 
3.    Liaise with users, other hospital departments, contractors or other external parties on all matters relating to procurement activities, store management and medical equipment maintenance.
4.    Maintain resource library and procurement records and assist in catalogue management. 
5.    Compile data and statistics reports for medical equipment, medical consumables, etc. 
6.    Handle users’ enquiries and complaints.
7.    Assist in generating reports for analysis and management review.
8.    Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Entry Requirements :
1.    Serving staff in the substantive rank of Supplies Assistant with at least 3 years of satisfactory service and have passed the Government Supplies Department competitive examination;
OR    
2.    (i)    5 subjects, including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics at Grade E in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.
OR    
       (ii)    5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below:
                 -    Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and
                 -    Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; 
or equivalent.
OR        
3.    A former Hong Kong Polytechnic Certificate of Proficiency in Stores Supervision, or equivalent.
OR    
4.    A former Hong Kong Polytechnic Advanced Certificate in Storekeeping.
OR    
5.    Grade E in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination English Language (Syllabus B), or Level 2 in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education English Language, or equivalent, plus a former Hong Kong Technical College Supply Officers Ordinary Course Certificate.

Preferable Attributes/Exposure:
1.    Good general education preferably up to tertiary level.
2.    Two years’ experience in procurement and materials management functions.
3.    Good working knowledge of personal computer.
4.    Good communication and interpersonal skill.
5.    Able to work independently and under pressure.
