Job Description - SVP, Team Head, Treasury Settlement
Your new company
A leading foreign corporate bank is looking for an experienced and dynamic Team Head to lead its Treasury Settlement Team. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processing of all treasury settlement transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards; as well as managing daily operations, the ideal candidate will play a key role in project management, driving system transformations, and leading process enhancement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
Your new role
Supervise daily operations of the Treasury Settlement team of 6, ensuring timely and accurate processing of FX (Foreign Exchange), MM (Money Market), fixed income, funds, bonds, and derivative transactions.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex settlement issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
Monitor and manage settlement workflow risks, including failed trades, unmatched confirmations, and nostro reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and market best practices (e.g., SWIFT standards, AML, FATCA).
Drive system automation and lead process improvement initiatives to reduce manual intervention and operational risk; support system implementations and transformations for new product launches.
Collaborate with front office, risk, compliance, finance, and technology teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Lead and mentor a team of settlement officers, providing training, performance feedback, and career development support.
Oversee the maintenance of static data, settlement instructions, and system configurations.
Participate in system upgrades, UAT testing, and the implementation of new products or services.
Prepare and review management reports, KPIs, and audit deliverables.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
10+ years of experience in treasury operations or settlements, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
In-depth knowledge of treasury products (FX, MM, IRS, Bonds, Derivatives) and settlement processes.
Proficiency in SWIFT messaging, RTGS and treasury settlement systems
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is necessary.
