Job Description - System Engineer (1 year contract)

Your new company

My client is a market-leading electronic payment service provider in Hong Kong.

Your new role

Participate in a rotating duty roster to deliver round-the-clock operational support for mission-critical internal platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents.
Maintain system update standards.
Execute operating system updates across Linux and Windows environments.
Validate platform health after maintenance activities and produce operational reports.
Install, configure, and manage endpoint and server-side security solutions across multiple environments.
Perform scheduled maintenance or emergency remediation outside regular office hours when service demands require it.

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field.
Minimum of three years' professional experience in server administration, infrastructure operations, or production support roles.
Practical expertise managing and updating Red Hat-based Linux systems and Microsoft Windows servers.
Hands-on capability with automation and scripting tools.
Working knowledge of server hardening, vulnerability mitigation, and adherence to security policies and regulatory standards.
