Systems Development Manager - Assistant Vice President - Post Trade Systems - IT

Job Summary:
Application is responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of HKEX's market systems for clearing and settlement. Application makes up several specialized teams that have in-depth technology knowhow to support the on-going maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements and the development of next generation HKEX platforms.

Job Duties:

The incumbent will be responsible for IT project implementation, application development and production support on Post - Trade Systems. The candidate should be an experienced IT professional with expertise experience gained in the implementation of critical application systems on Linux platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for system development and project implementation activities including the business requirement analysis, resource and vendor management, application development and documentation.
• Design and develop systems with modern technologies, eg Cloud.
• Collaborate with teams across IT departments in various aspects.
• Provide production system support.
• Lead and develop a group of s/w developers in HK and China such as Shenzhen.
• Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in software development, design and production support in large scale systems and and/or mission critical systemsin nature.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in leading a team of s/w developers in projects.
• Solid knowledge in Linux, Database, CI/CD and Cloud technologies.
• Strong skills ofin programming languages: Java, Javascript, SQL and shell programming.
• Demonstrated skills in vendor management, vendor evaluation and vendor system integration, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Experience in OpenAPI and application security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API security, etc.) will be an advantage.
• Good analytic mind, sSelf-motivated with theand abilityle to work independently.
• Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
