Tax Specialist (Associate/ VP)

Our client, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund manager with a significant global footprint, is seeking a high-caliber Tax Specialist to join their regional headquarters.

1. Tax Compliance: Manage and ensure the timely filing of tax returns for corporate and fund entities across various jurisdictions (HK, SG, JP, AU, CN, IN, and US).
2. Strategic Advisory: Conduct deep-dive research into regional tax laws to support business expansion and new investment products.
3. Investor & Regulatory Reporting: Assist in the preparation of specialized tax reporting for global investors and regulatory bodies.
4. Authority Liaison: Serve as the lead contact for all tax-related correspondence and inquiries from global tax authorities.
5. Project Management: Support the finance team in ad-hoc business initiatives, ensuring all tax implications are accounted for.

1. Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. Experience: 3+ years of professional tax experience. Level of entry (Associate/VP) will be determined by seniority and track record.
3. Sector Expertise: Previous experience within Financial Services, Private Equity, or Asset Management is highly advantageous.
4. Technical Skills: Strong command of international tax rules, accounting standards, and fund structures.
5. Attributes: Exceptional analytical skills, a "keen eye" for detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
