Teacher Librarian

Founded in1897, Tsung Tsin Primary School and Kindergarten is a Christian non-profit private school with about 50 classes. Adhering to the Tsung Tsin Church's school-running philosophy of "Promoting Learning and Preaching", the School provides high-quality Christian education to cultivate students' whole person development. The professional teaching team consists of a significant number of native English teachers and native Putonghua teachers, providing a bilingual immersive learning environment. Our new East Wing 8-storey Academic building provides students with diverse learning space to unleash students' potential and develop their multiple intelligences.

The School is now recruiting for the post of Teacher Librarian for the 2024/25 academic year. Applicants must be passionate about teaching, love children, be responsible, mature, proactive and a team player. Applicants should also support the school's educational philosophy.

Requirements:

• a degree holder of library information management or a diploma holder of librarianship approved by the EDB and holds a PGDE/PGCE;
• experience in library management and setting up a new library preferred;
• passionate in promoting reading and literacy;
• able to conduct lessons in near-native English.

Salary Scale and Benefits:

• the salary is linked to the government's Master Pay Scale. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience;
• medical subsidies will be provided;
• tuition subsidies will be offered to staff whose children enrol in our school.
