Team Head of Financial & Regulatory Reporting - Boutique Corporate Bank Branch

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an established accounting professional to join a boutique Chinese bank branch based right here in Hong Kong. This role offers an inviting, collaborative environment perfect for an individual looking to take ownership of financial processes and grow within a focused team setting.

1. Report directly to the Head of Finance and work in a small team of less than 5.
2. Take the lead on day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring the smooth operational flow of the finance department.
3. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Produce, review, and evaluate comprehensive financial statements and management reports in accordance with relevant standards.
5. Provide clear and insightful financial analysis and commentary to support senior leadership and head office decision-making.
6. Liaise closely with internal business units, corporate headquarters, and external auditors to ensure efficient reporting and smooth audit cycles.
7. Monitor and enhance internal financial controls, keeping a proactive eye out for process improvements and accounting standard changes.

1. A university degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. Holding a professional CPA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
3. Solid track record in financial reporting AND HKMA regulatory reporting within the banking sector.
4. Strong analytical mindset coupled with a detailed and structured approach to problem-solving.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate smoothly across different teams.
6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
