Team Head (Vice President), Trade Finance Operation - Expanding Corporate & Private Bank

Our client is a Expanding and Well-Established Foreign Corporate & Private bank in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for a Team Head (Vice President), Trade Finance Operation to expand their business capacity in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Manage team member to prepare, check and review all Trade Finance Applications and Documents (i.e. standby LC, Trade Loan/ LC issuance/ LC advising/ import and expert bills documents/ invoice financing)
• Perform second level review and checking for trade finance documents
• Work with the head to approve and check all related transactions
• Handle and perform documents checking and processing various types of Bills transactions
• Check the terms & conditions of trade finance loan documents, letters and loan disbursements
• Conduct OFAC checking (i.e. Sanction and AML) on trade finance documents.
• Develop and coach trade finance operation teammates to maximize efficiency
• Handle internal & external stakeholder’s inquiries on trade finance operation
• Identify deficiencies in trade finance operation and implement relevant strategies to rectify

Requirements:

• Diploma or above
• 10 years + all-rounded Banking Trade Finance Operation experience with 5 years + leadership experience
• Solid trade finance documents checking experience (including international trade documentation)
• Solid knowledge & experience on executing trade finance operation in accordance with the bank’s regulatory policies and guidelines (i.e. UCP/ISBP/URC)
• Holder of CDCS is preferable.
• Good prior leadership experience in Banking Trade Finance Operation function
• Good command of written and spoken English & Putonghua
• Good knowledge of MS Office
