Technical Application Support (MO Trading App) - Asset Management

Our client, a Hong Kong-headquartered alternative asset management firm with a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific region, is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist. This role is essential for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for Mid-office Trading systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to internal users.

1. Primary Point of Contact: Act as the main liaison for internal users experiencing technical issues with Trading systems.
2. Technical Support Resolution: Provide timely and effective resolutions to technical support tickets, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
4. Documentation: Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to enhance future reference and support efficiency.
5. Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions for clients on system functionalities and best practices to optimize usage.
6. Proactive Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement in system performance and user experience proactively.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in technical support roles, preferably within the financial industry or hedge funds.
3. Strong understanding of financial systems, including trading platforms, risk management tools, and data analysis software.
4. Familiarity with databases, SQL queries, coding capabilities, and network troubleshooting.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
6. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
