Technical Business Analyst - Data

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst (Data) to join their team. The successful candidate will serve as a technical BA supporting deliverables such as letters, statements, advices, SMS notifications, reports, and data-related Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) throughout various project phases - including SIT, UAT, and cutover.

This role requires strong hands-on SQL skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude to collaborate closely with technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Act as the bridge between business users and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
• Develop and maintain Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and ensure clear alignment with technical design and business objectives.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and cutover activities, including test planning, execution, and issue tracking.
• Utilize SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting across multiple data sources and reporting systems.
• Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure project deliverables meet business expectations and timelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support the generation of letters, statements, advices, SMS messages, and reports as part of system implementation.
• Monitor progress and proactively identify potential risks, issues, or dependencies affecting project success.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.
• Solid experience working on data-centric projects involving reports, notifications, and statements.
• Proficient in SQL, with the ability to read, write, and analyze complex queries for data validation and issue investigation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and production cutover phases is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
