Technical Officer II (BESS)

CLPe Solutions Limited (formerly CLP Engineering Limited), incorporated in Hong Kong in 1985, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CLP Holdings Limited with extensive experience in providing total energy solution. The company undertakes a variety of services including energy management solutions, distributed energy as well as power engineering, infrastructure and facilities management in Hong Kong and Mainland China with the focus on the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

We are looking for an energetic, innovative & highly motivated professional to join our BESS Team of the Decarbonisation Business Department. Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct site visit, programming, installation, testing & commissioning and maintenance activities of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) related equipment


• Perform operations and maintenance tasks on CLPeS BESS System in a timely manner


• Oversee the transportation and initial setup of BESS and provide clients with comprehensive tutorials on its usage


• Lead and supervise frontline workers and contractors to carry out installation, testing & commissioning works


• Implement and monitor the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) systems to ensure that the required standards are achieved


• May be required to work outside normal working hours to handle site issues or perform site inspection when necessary 


• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in engineering disciplines or other relevant disciplines plus 3 years’ relevant experience OR Ordinary Diploma / Ordinary Certificate in engineering disciplines or other relevant disciplines plus 4 years’ relevant working experience


• Familiarity with safety rules, engineering standards and codes of practice


• Possession of a valid Construction Industry Safety Card 


• Possession of a valid driving license (1 or 2) is preferred


• Possession of a Registered Electrical Worker (REW) license is preferred


• Good team player and site work lover who is customer-oriented, self-motivated and outgoing. Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines


• Ability to communicate technical concepts in English and Cantonese, verbally and written, with Mandarin is preferred


• Candidate with less experience will be considered for a lower position
