Technical Officer II - Maintenance (Generation/Black Point Power Station)

Department: BPPS/Maintenance/GBG Turbine
Work location: Tuen Mun

Applications are invited for the above position in Generation Business Group. Reporting to the Team Leader, the appointee will be assigned to multi-disciplinary work teams responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the assigned area. Major duties include: -

• Ensure that maintenance work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and up to the required engineering standard.
• Monitor the assigned activities to ensure that they are conducted according to schedule, design, relevant codes of practice and within budget.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment fault and defects with equipment spares arrangement.
• Prepare, review and update documentation or reports of work.
• Recommend changes and innovative idea on maintenance practices to improve work efficiency, safety standards, asset performance and cost effectiveness.
• Provide on-the-job technical supervision and guidance to frontline workers and contractors.
• Ensure safe working practices and works are completed to satisfaction.

 
Requirements:

• A Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Engineering or related discipline plus 2 years’ relevant experience or an Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical, Engineering or related discipline plus 4 years’ relevant experience.
• Solid experience in maintenance of Turbine, Turbine Auxiliary equipment or other heavy machinery equipment. 
• Familiar with Safety, Health and Environment related regulations and ordinances and possess good safety awareness.
• General computer skills in Windows and Office.
• Proven supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
